THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE, the world premiere of a three part theatrical event by the Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning playwright Horton Foote, begins performances on Thursday, November 5 at Signature Theatre Company at the Peter Norton Space, 555 West 42nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.

In anticipation of the opening Horton Foote's plays The Orphans Home Cycle, The Outer Critics Circle will host a special panel discussion: Horton Foote...The Journey, an exploration of The Orphans' Home Cycle on Wednesday, November 4th (5PM) at Sardi's Restaurant in the Eugenia Room. The event will be chaired by OCC Executive Committee member Rosalind Friedman who will also serve as co-moderator along with OCC President Simon Saltzman.

Horton Foote, the Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning author of THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE is featured in a Critic at Large essay by John Lahr in The New Yorker, in the issue for the week of October 26, 2009. The piece examines the life and career of Foote, who died on March 4, 2009. The New Yorker is currently available on newsstands.

Cocktails will begin at 6:30pm with dinner at 7:30 PM and performance/tribute to follow. The evening will be hosted by Phylicia Rashad and Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Individual ticket prices range from $600-$1,200 with table prices ranging from $6,000-$25,000.
