Ronald Blythe's AKENFIELD Revived In Local Staging

Fifty years after Sir Peter Hall turned Ronald Blythe's best-known work Akenfield into a film, his daughter Jenny Hall will be directing the landmark work on rural Suffolk as a stage production.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) presents the NYC premiere of SEPARATE AND EQUAL, written and directed by Seth Panitch. Produced by the University of Alabama in partnership with the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum and Birmingham Metro NAACP, SEPARATE AND EQUAL begins performances on Wednesday, September 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 30. Press Opening is Sunday, September 9 at 2:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Saturday at 7:15 PM; and Sunday at 2:15 PM. Oberon Ensemble Presents 'Winter Rep 08' Line-Up

The Oberon Theatre Ensemble will present their annual winter show Winter Rep 08. This year the company presents Shakespeare's classic tragedy Macbeth in rep with Michael Weller's Ghost on Fire. Performances begin on February 14th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).
