Laurie Davidson Joins the Film Adaptation of CATS

Laurie Davidson has joined the cast of CATS, according to Deadline. The Universal Pictures and Working Title film is based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic hit musical.

The Lone Bellow Announce 'Restless' EP + New Tracks, Videos & North American Tour Announced

The Lone Bellow will head out on a major North American Tour beginning October 1st, snaking through the U.S. through December. For the first time ever, the band will play as just the trio with no backing band - riffing on a wildly popular portion of their live show where the three gather around one microphone.The Restless EP will release wide come Oct. 19th and features two new songs, two covers, and three reworked versions of songs from previous records. Produced by members Brian Elmquist and Jason Pipkin. To mark the occasion they've released two new acoustic tracks, a cover of The National's 'Pink Rabbits' and a new track, 'The Restless' available on all DSP's today as well as pre-ordering of the EP.

As BroadwayWorld reported in July, Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson will lead Tom Hooper's upcoming film adaptation of CATs as 'Grizabella', alongside Ian McKellen, James Corden, and Taylor Swift. Until now, their roles had not yet been announced, but Andrew Lloyd Webber has just revealed that Swift will take on either Bombalurina or Demeter.

CBS All Access Announces New Series From DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES Creator

CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced a new original straight-to-series order for WHY WOMEN KILL, a darkly comedic drama created by Marc Cherry ('Desperate Housewives,' 'Devious Maids'). The series will be produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. Creator Marc Cherry will serve as executive producer alongside Imagine's Brian Grazer ('Empire,' 'Genius') and Francie Calfo ('Empire,' 'Genius'), and Acme Productions' Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.

CYN Releases New Single and Video, 'I'll Still Have Me.'

 With her upcoming tour with British pop trio Years & Years just two weeks away, rising artist CYN has released her latest single, a poignant pop ballad called “I'll Still Have Me.” The new song is paired with a touching and heartfelt music video that sees CYN performing to a community center of seniors. Described as 'sweet' and poignant' by ELLE Magazine who debuted the video today, the moving video was beautifully directed by Ben Richardson (Director of Photography on: Beasts of The Southern Wild, The Fault In Our Stars, Wind River), and is bookended by emotional clips of the seniors reminiscing on their first loves.
