After winning a Tony Award for her performance as Hedwig's husband, Yitzhak, in the Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, originally starring Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Hall stayed with the production through three more Hedwigs. Now, she's joined the national tour in her iconic role, but tonight, she takes an even more legendary step: For the first time in history, the role of Hedwig and Yitzhak will be played by the same actor within a production. Hall will steps into the international song stylist's shoes for one performance per week, while her understudy will perform the role of Yitzhak.
Lena Hall will reprise her Tony Award-winning performance as Yitzhak in the highly anticipated National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, in performances at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco (October 2-30, 2016) and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles (November 1-27, 2016), opposite Darren Criss. In a groundbreaking twist, she'll also play the role of Hedwig for one performance a week in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
