Casting for HAMILTON, THE COLOR PURPLE, WAITRESS Among 2017 Artios Awards Theatre Nominees

The Casting Society of America has announced the nominees for the 32nd Annual Artios Awards. The ceremony, which honors excellence in casting in all forms of entertainment, has included some of the theatre's finest among their 2016 nominations.

In addition to the Live Theatre nominations, there are also a number of theatre-adjacent television programs being considered for honors, with Grease Live! and television's favorite musical comedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, among them.

A Los Angeles ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 19, 2017, and will be hosted by Joel McHale, with a New York ceremony at Stage 48 in Hell's Kitchen that will share the same date. No emcee for the New York event has been announced.
