Metropolitan area audiences will relish the opportunity to see South Pacific at Paper Mill Playhouse through May 4th.

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, are proud to announce the Chicago premiere of Grounded, by George Brant and directed by Lisa Portes, June 6 - July 13 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. The running time is approximately 80 minutes. Pink Previews, where tickets sales benefit the Lynn Sage Foundation for breast cancer research, are Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 8 at 2:30 p.m. Opening Night is Thursday, June 12 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $19 - $49 and are available at 773.404.7336 or americanbluestheater.com.

Paper Mill Playhouse continue its 75th Anniversary Season with the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. With music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan, South Pacific will be directed by Rob Ruggiero and choreographed by Ralph Perkins. Mike McGowan joins this enchanting cast as Emile de Becque replacing the previously announced Jason Howard.

Virginia Repertory Theatre revealed the new titles for the 2014/15 Season with a public announcement at the November Theatre last evening. The announcement marks Bruce Miller and Phil Whiteway's 40th season as Artistic Director and Managing Director. Miller reflects on this milestone, "I'm proud to be announcing my 40th season as Artistic Director. The 18 shows that comprise Virginia Rep's 2014/15 roster include several of my favorite comedies, dramas and musicals. Whether a renowned classic or an exciting new release, each selection will take us on a breathtaking journey. I can't wait to discover with our audience the adventures that lie ahead."

Plays & Players will launch a new yearly series dedicated to introducing young audiences to the power of live theater. This season, P.L.A.Y. (Philadelphia Local Artists for Youth) premieres with Delaware Mudtub and the Mighty Wampum, a work that explores mythic animals local to the area -- the great blue heron, the red fox, and the box turtle, as well as the stories of the people once indigenous to the Delaware River -- the Lenni-Lenape.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced three world premiere productions for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2014-2015 theatrical season.

As Riverside's celebrated 40th Anniversary Season continues, the full cast of the theatre's premier production of South Pacific is complete and joins the previously announced casting of Opera star David Pittsinger as Emile de Becque. South Pacific performs on the Stark Stage from February 18 - March 9, 2014 and is sponsored by our Patron Producers.

This is certainly the best production of South Pacific that I have seen, and I have seen quite a few, including being involved with three productions myself.

Now on exhibit at the Michener Art Museum is From Philadelphia to Monaco: GRACE KELLY - Beyond the Icon, an exhibition allowing visitors to learn more about her life and heritage. On October 26, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II (Grace Kelly's son) and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the opening night gala at the Michener. Among the many special guests, donors, and Friends of Grace was Broadway's own Leslie Odom, Jr. who sang a spectacular array of standard classics and a single from his upcoming debut album. The Mountain Play - 'A Great Outdoor Adventure' and the San Francisco Bay Area's most magical outdoor theater experience, presents the Tony Award winning musical South Pacific directed by Linda Dunn for its 101st season in 2014.
