Broadway star Chilina Kennedy, currently starring in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, is launching her own theatre company in Toronto, according to The Globe and Mail.

Broadway Method Academy (BMA), in association with the Shubert Theatre of New Haven and Westport Country Playhouse, is proud to announce the nominees for the Stephen Sondheim Awards. The black-tie gala will take place on June 4 at 7:30 pm at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT.  The program's mission is to recognize excellence in high school musical theater.

"Don't Dress for Dinner"-a mile-a-minute comedy by Marc Camoletti adapted from the original French by Robin Hawdon-will be the fourth and final play of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2017-2018 season, opening on May 24 at the Quogue Community Hall and running through June 10.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Lantern Resident Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest comedic actors: Chris Anthony, Jessica Bedford, Marc LeVasseur, Lee Minora, Karen Peakes, and William Zielinski. Xfinity Fan Fair X, CMA Fest's Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience where fans get up close and personal with their favorite artists, returns to Music City Center daily Thursday, June 7 through Sunday, June 10(9:30 AM-5:00 PM). One of the biggest draws is the Artist of the Day session, which spotlights one of Country Music's favorite acts each day by offering a glimpse into their careers from the CMA Close Up Stage. Dierks Bentley will appear on Thursday, Luke Bryan on Friday, Dustin Lynch on Saturday and Kelsea Ballerini on Sunday.

In May 2018 at the Rialto Theatre Studio, Montreal indie theatre company Odd Stumble, who most recently turned The Rialto into a living museum of art and performance, will bring you the first staged exploration of The Hysteria Triptych; a play about three women who want more.

Renowned TV host and actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, one of the most important figures of Latin American television, signs a multi-project long-term deal with Telemundo to include hosting and her return to acting. Her first project with the network will be to host the new primetime sports and entertainment show 'Viva el Mundial y Más' to premiere on June 14. Jacqueline will be joined by Karim Mendiburu of 'Titulares y Más,' for the new program which will air Monday to Sunday at 7 pm/6c, and will feature daily highlights and updates of all the action and current topics taking place in Russia during Telemundo's Spanish-language coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The season finds the optimistic Kimmy starting a new career as HR manager of the startup Giztoob, but it's more than she bargained for when her boss tells her she has to fire someone and she unintentionally gets tangled in a #MeToo situation. Also, Jacqueline builds her talent agency empire, but for the moment has only one client (Titus). And between creating and starring in a new (fake) TV show and directing his first middle school play, Titus's own career begins to take off. All the while, Lillian continues to do whatever it takes  to "disrupt" and "burst the paradigm."

House 10 Productions is pleased to announce HER TURN: A Benefit Cabaret for TIME'S UP at Open Space Cafe (457 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036) in West Hollywood on May 20th. There will be two performances, one at 3PM & 8PM. The show features a girl-powered mix of classic pop, rock and musical theatre songs sung by an all-female cast. The purpose behind the cabaret is to highlight local TV & theatre talent and raise money for the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund.

Paula Prilutski's rediscovered masterwork ONE OF THOSE, a proto-feminist drama about an independent woman living in an unfree world, will be presentedtonight (Monday) at 7 pm at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in a newly commissioned English translation (from the original Yiddish) by writer/director Allen Lewis Rickman. This one-night-only event is another of YIVO's Treasures from the Archives.

Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble presents, '15 Stories Celebrating 15 Years - A New Works Festival' on Saturday, May 26 @ 2:00 PM presented at Grand Central Arts Center Theater in downtown Santa Ana. There will be a small reception to follow.
