Sydney Theatre Company opens its 2016 season with the Australian classic The Golden Age by Louis Nowra, at Wharf 1 Theatre from 14 January 2016.

Following recent celebrated performances in The Present and Children of the Sun, Jacqueline McKenzie is back at Sydney Theatre Company (STC) for the whimsical, magical tale of time and transformation, Orlando, Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Virginia Woolf's 1928 novel. The wild ride spanning more than 300 years also features John Gaden, Matthew Backer, Luisa Hastings Edge, Garth Holcombe, and Anthony Taufa, directed by STC Resident Director Sarah Goodes, at the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House, from 9 November to 19 December 2015.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX), Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac Entertainment today announced that The Water Diviner, the feature film directorial debut from Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator), will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format and released into select domestic IMAX theatres April 24.

Artists confirmed for Andrew Upton's seventh season (his second programmed as solo Artistic Director) at Sydney Theatre Company in 2015 include many of Australia's top theatrical talents: Cate Blanchett, Jacqueline McKenzie, Robyn Nevin, Susie Porter, Richard Roxburgh, Geoffrey Rush, Helen Thomson, Hugo Weaving, Ursula Yovich and many more in a program boasting directors such as Neil Armfield, Leticia Ca?ceres, Richard Cottrell, John Crowley, Pamela Rabe and STC's Andrew Upton, Sarah Goodes and Kip Williams.

The Sydney's Theatre community gathered at the 2014 SYDNEY THEATRE AWARDS tonight for the 10th annual celebration of the best of the past year's work as judged by The Sydney Reviewers.

Nominations were announced today for the Sydney Theatre Awards for 2014, which will be presented at a gala ceremony on Monday January 19, 2015 at 6pm at the Paddington RSL.

Following a hugely acclaimed and record-breaking sell out run at Hampstead Theatre, Neil Armfield's production of David Hare's The Judas Kiss just transferred to the West End. Focussing on two critical moments in Wilde's last years - the eve of his arrest and the night after his release from two years imprisonment; The Judas Kiss speculates on the consequences of his self-destructive fatalism, betrayal and love without trust.
