Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) and hip-hop sensations the Q Brothers are back at it again turning up the volume with a fresh take on a beloved classic. The Q Brothers and CST Creative Producer Rick Boynton have come together to develop A Q Brothers' Christmas Carol-a hip-hop reinterpretation of the perennial holiday favorite by Charles Dickens. Now, alongside Chicago theaters' familiar renditions of this heartwarming tale, audiences will participate in the creation of an energized, reinvented tradition. Work-in-progress performances of A Q Brothers' Christmas Carol will run in the theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare, now through December 22, 2013. Gulfshore Playhouse has announced that they will award 10 students with a gift certificate not only for themselves, but for their whole family to see Gulfshore Playhouse's production of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol this holiday season. The Naples Police Department will be presenting 10 students with awards for showing exemplary behavior in the community through the "Do The Right Thing" program at the Naples City Council meeting on December 4th, and Gulfshore Playhouse is proud to be able to offer these students and their families the opportunity to see this heart-warming production.

A Christmas Carol is a tale of an old, bitter miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who goes through a profound experience of redemption over the course of one night. His deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, visits him in the night and tells him that he will be visited by three spirits who will show him his past, present, and future. Mr. Scrooge's life changes as a result of these visits and he vows to become the man he could have always been: someone who loves others and gives to those around him.
