Clubbed Thumb Sets Full Schedule & Casting for 20th Annual SUMMERWORKS

Five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb is proud to announce casting for SUMMERWORKS, its annual series of new plays. Now in its 20th season, SUMMERWORKS will run May 20th through June 29th at The Wild Project (195 E 3rd Street) in Manhattan, and will feature productions of three new plays: D DEB DEBBIE DEBORAH by Jerry Lieblich, directed by Lee Sunday Evans; CARD AND GIFT by Kate E. Ryan, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll; and MEN ON BOATS by Jaclyn Backhaus, directed by Will Davis. Theater Reconstruction Ensemble will present the World Premiere of You On The Moors Now, written by up and coming playwright Jaclyn Backhaus, whose credits include Men On Boats (Clubbed Thumb/Playwrights Horizons SUPERLAB), Folk Wandering (Ars Nova/Joe's Pub) and The Incredible Fox Sisters (Ice Factory). The show is directed by John Kurzynowski (Artistic Director of TRE), with a cast that includes Anastasia Olowin (The Killer with Theatre for a New Audience) and Jon Riddleberger (National tour of War Horse with National Theatre).

The multidisciplinary performance ensemble Live Source presents the world-premiere adaptation of BOHEMIAN LIGHTS, based on Ramon Valle-Inclan's 'Luces de Bohemia,' adapted by Live Source with Fernando Gonzalez. Directed by Tyler Mercer, BOHEMIAN LIGHTS begins performances on Friday, November 7, 2014 -- prior to an official press opening of November 9th -- at HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Avenue - enter on Dominick, 1 block south of Spring, in Manhattan).
