B&B Dinner Theatre Presents A BEEF AND BOARDS CHRISTMAS, Through 12/23

Tradition takes a sentimental twist this holiday season in A Beef & Boards Christmas 2010, now on stage at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Inspired by the Golden Age of television, this annual production offers an entertaining cavalcade of comedy, dance and music with performances by many Beef & Boards favorites through Dec. 23.

18th Annual Beef & Boards Christmas Production opens 11/26, runs till 12/23.

Inspired by the Golden Age of television, this annual production offers an entertaining cavalcade of comedy, dance and music with performances by many Beef & Boards favorites through Dec. 23. Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is taking a fresh approach to its own original holiday extravaganza, which is now in its 18th year. Styled after the classic variety shows of Jackie Gleason, Ed Sullivan, Red Skelton, Dinah Shore and Bob Hope, A Beef & Boards Christmas 2010 presents the sights, sounds and songs of the season in an all-new, fun and festive production. The Beef & Boards Orchestra takes the stage, making the music an integral part of each performance. Holiday songs, skits and stories are showcased by a variety of talent including Christine Mild, Christopher Dickerson, John Vessels, Kenny Shepard and Deb Wims. Even Santa stops by to be a part of this musical celebration of the season.

Powers, Ryness et al. Lead DANGEROUS BEAUTY at Pasadena Playhouse in 2011

Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced principal casting for the new musical DANGEROUS BEAUTY by Jeannine Dominy (book), Amanda McBroom (lyrics) and Michele Brourman (music). Joining the principal cast, with previously announced lead actress Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease) as Veronica Franco, are James Snyder (Drama League Award-nominee for Broadway's Crybaby) as Marco, Bryce Ryness (Drama Desk Award-nominee for Broadway's Tony Award-winning revival of Hair) as Maffio, Laila Robins (Broadway's Heartbreak House) as Paola, Michael Rupert (Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Sweet Charity) as Domenico, Megan McGinnis (Ovation Award-nominee for the Rubicon Theatre's Daddy Long Legs) as Beatrice, John Antony (Broadway's Passion) as Pietro and Morgan Weed (Second Stage Theatre's Next to Normal) as Giulia. Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller directs the world premiere, which begins performances on February 1, 2011 with the official press opening on February 13, 2011 at Pasadena Playhouse (39 S. El Molino Avenue).

Della Reese to Guest Star on DETROIT 1-8-7

Della Reese, a multiple Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, a seven-time NAACP Image Award-winning actress and singer - and a minister - will guest star in an upcoming episode of ABC's critically acclaimed new drama, 'Detroit 1-8-7.' The episode, entitled 'Shelter,' will air TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Ms. Reese will portray Lorraine Henderson, an urban, working class mother in her 70s, whose son's body is found in an abandoned fallout shelter. A young man when he was murdered, Richard Henderson was believed missing since 1967. Reese's casting reflects the producers' continuing effort to showcase Detroit talent.

Museum of the Moving Image Announces Events for Grand Re-Opening, 1/15

Rochelle Slovin, Director of Museum of the Moving Image, today announced further details of the events and programs that will celebrate the grand re-opening of America's only museum dedicated to film, TV and digital media in all their forms. Transformed through a $67 million project, the Museum will open to the public on January 15, 2011, having doubled in size (from 50,000 to 97,700 square feet) and been given striking new physical expression by architect Thomas Leeser.

Daniel Tosh To Tour This Fall
