HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Holland Taylor takes a bow, Broadway gets Miscast, PHANTOM gets a new Chrsitine, and so much more!

On Monday March 11th at 7:30pm, Red Bull Theater will host a staged reading of SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER by Oliver Goldsmith, featuring Matthew Amendt, Emily Bergl, Daniel Breaker, Michael Gotch, Marsha Mason, Richard Poe, Liv Rooth, Paxton Whitehead and more. Never has the dysfunctional family been more blissfully funny than in this comic masterpiece, directed by Mark Lamos.

Jeffrey Finn, Tony Award nominated Broadway producer, was just presented The Commercial Theater Institute's Robert Whitehead Award for 'outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing' at a reception at Sardi's Restaurant yesterday, March 6. Check out photos from the ceremony below!

On March 3, 2013, Epic Theatre Ensemble held their Annual Gala, Remix: Mix It Up With Epic. The event was held at the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. This year's honoree was Tony Award-Winning actor Richard Easton. Highlights of the evening included performances from high school students in Epic's Shakespeare Remix program (winner of the the 2009 National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award); the live fundraising auction with celebrity auctioneer Gordon Elliottand the funny and heartfelt tribute to Easton by Ethan Hawke and Aaron Krohn (currently appearing together Off-Broadway in Clive).

Native Voices at the Autry continues its vital role as the country's only Equity theatre company dedicated exclusively to developing the work of Native American playwrights with the world premiere of THE BIRD HOUSE by DIANE GLANCY (Cherokee*).
