Scenery First Partners with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for Philly Episode 8/6

When the producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, EMHE, decided to completely rebuild the 300 year old cabin of Trisha Urban and her baby Cora into the fairytale inspired home of their dreams, the local Tilden Township community in Hamburg, PA hastened together to volunteer food, labor, and emotional support. Trisha and Cora were left alone and in serious debt when Trisha's husband died suddenly of a congenital heart defect.

Bill Hanney launches the 2010 Broadway musical series at the new North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) with Vicki Lewis starring in GYPSY. York Theatre Presents JESUS' KID BROTHER Reading, 5/25

The award-winning York Theatre Company presents the musical, JESUS' KID BROTHER, May 25th at 3 p.m. The musical is part of the York Theatre Company's Development Reading Series which announced the cast for two other new musicals: THE AGE OF INNOCENCE with a reading on May 27th and LA LLARONA with a reading on June 2nd. All reading take place at York Theatre at Saint Peter's Church, enter on 54th Street Just East of Lexington.

Fanny, the 50th Encores! musical produced by New York City Center since 1994 and the second Encores! production of the season, opens of February 4 and runs through February 7, 2010. Fanny has music and lyrics by Harold Rome and book by S.N. Behrman and Joshua Logan, and is based on Marcel Pagnol's trilogy Marius, Fanny and Cesar. Fanny will be directed by Marc Bruni and choreographed by Lorin Latarro with music direction by Rob Berman.

On October 26th and October 27th, a private industry reading of the musical A Day in the Life of Gloucester will take place, featuring Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Shrek), and Broadway vets Christopher Sieber (Shrek) and Lenny Wolpe (The Drowsy Chaperone). Lonny Price (A Class Act) will direct the reading at Chelsea Studios. The musical features a book by Bob Walton with music and lyrics by Jim Walton.

Continuing its free lunchtime series this week, '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2008' welcomes the casts of Young Frankenstein, 13, Grease, Legally Blonde The Musical & Rent on Thursday, August 14th. The following day, Friday August 15th the casts of The Lion King, Enter Laughing, Hairspray, Godspell & Forbidden Broadway will be performing.

On Wednesday, March 12 2008 Roger Bart and the cast of 'Young Frankenstein welcomed 75 Fidelity FutureStage students from Long Island City High School (in Queens)to a performance of the hit musical 'Young Frankenstein' and to a post-show talk back immediately following the matinee performance, which the students will have seen for free.
