Tulsa Opera opens its 68th season with a perennial audience favorite, Puccini's LA BOHÈME, on October 16 and 18 in the Chapman Music Hall of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

Antiquarian Archives has consigned three rare and unique pieces which will excite literature enthusiasts across the spectrum. They are a signed edition of Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, a typed letter signed by J.D. Salinger, author of Catcher in the Rye, and an autograph letter written and signed by J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt announced today that it will publish the debut book by HGTV reality stars Jonathan and Drew Scott-known as the Property Brothers. The book, entitled Dream Home: The Property Brothers' Ultimate Guide to Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House and based on the brothers' hugely popular home improvement television programs, will be released in April 2016.

The highly anticipated The Lord of the Rings In Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring will make its way to Raleigh September 18 – 19 at Red Hat Amphitheater.  Featuring Howard Shore's complete Academy Award and Grammy–winning score performed live on-stage by more than 250 musicians.

Poet Jonathan Goh's recent publication, 'Eludoran: The Legend of Lorelei in a Geste of Grave Misconceptions' (published by Partridge Singapore) has earned the distinction of longest fantasy rhyming poem ever written in Singapore. Dedicated as a tribute to his late grandfather, 'Eludoran' is a commentary of stereotypical fantasy fiction comprising three acts in 44 chapters. This numbering is not a coincidence; it is intended as a subtle reference of its subject matter since the number four in Chinese cultures is synonymous with death. Symphony Silicon Valley and Chorale and Howard Shore, composer of the Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings(LOTR) soundtrack, present the first American screening of the complete LOTR trilogy with a live American orchestra. Along with soloists to be named later, the Academy Award-winning films will be shown in High Definition on a giant 48' by 20' screen with 250 musicians on stage.
