Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children's publishing, education and media company, today unveiled the new cover for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – the sixth of seven trade paperback editions with new covers illustrated by New York Times bestselling author and illustrator, Kazu Kibuishi. Kibuishi and David Saylor, Vice President, Creative Director, Scholastic, unveiled the new cover in San Diego, CA at the annual Comic-Con Convention. The complete series of new books and a new boxed set will be available on August 27, 2013, as part of Scholastic's celebration of the 15th anniversary of the U.S. publication of Harry Potterand the Sorcerer's Stone, the original book in J.K. Rowling's best-selling Harry Potter series.

Swank uses the age-old concept of good vs. evil to tell the story of a Dark Lord named Gramoroth who desires to rule the world. The book, which was released in April, was written with the pseudonym 'Robert Galbraith.' Since its debut, many have speculated and tried to track down 'Galbraith' - to no avail. The news came out once it was discovered that Rowling and the 'author' shared the same editor at the same publishing house.

This show does what I always hope children's theatre will do: It makes for great kid's theatre without boring the parents. Not even a little bit. If your child hasn't read J.K. Rowling's fantastical trilogy about a boy who discovers he is a wizard, this might be the inspiration he or she needs to pick up what I am told is an addictive piece of literature.
