Gulfshore Opera will present Johann Sebastian Bach's Saint Matthew Passion for three performances on March 18-20, at venues in Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties during Lent, in anticipation of the Easter season. The production is in collaboration with the Florida Gulf Coast University Chamber Choir, The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers Chamber Chorus, a core ensemble of eight soloists, and the Gulfshore Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

Park Avenue Armory premieres a penetrating new work this fall developed by Laurie Anderson in collaboration with Mohammed el Gharani, a former Guantanamo Bay detainee. HABEAS CORPUS, commissioned by the Armory, expands on Anderson's fusing of storytelling and technology, creating an installation and performance piece that examines lost identity, memory, and the resiliency of the human body and spirit. The work premieres for three days and nights, October 2-4, 2015.
This summer, Apollo's Fire embarks on its fourth international tour, performing with world-renowned violinist, Alina Ibragimova, at the BBC Proms in London (Aug. 15), The Aldeburgh Music/Snape Proms in the UK (Aug. 16), and performing a separate chamber program at the Tuscany Musical Landscapes Festival in Italy (Aug. 21). Apollo's Fire's debut at the BBC Proms will be followed by a VIP reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires.
