Joan Crawford's Adoptive Daughter Christina Brings SURVIVING MOMMIE DEAREST Off-Broadway, Beg. Tonight

Mommie Dearest Inc. in association with Producer Jerry Rosenberg have announced dates for the New York premiere of SURVIVING MOMMIE DEAREST an empowering and inspirational new production starring Christina Crawford - actress, activist and author of the 1978 best-selling autobiographical book 'Mommie Dearest.' The show features an award-winning bio-pic documentary covering 100 years of show-biz history and details the turbulent relationship between Christina and her movie legend adoptive mother, Joan Crawford. Complete with film clips and footage from forgotten 1940's home movies, SURVIVING MOMMIE DEAREST is slated for a limited run of 5 performances, during the week of Mother's Day and will run off-Broadway at the Snapple Theater Center in Manhattan.

Katrina Lenk Joins the Cast of ONCE as 'Reza,' 5/7

Katrina Lenk will join the cast of the 8-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical ONCE at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre beginning Tuesday, May 7. Ms. Lenk will take over the role of 'Reza' from Claire Wellen, who, as planned, was playing the role temporarily.

Netflix Loses Close to 1,000 Classic Titles

The online streaming service's contract with Warner Bros., and its various sub-studios, expired today. The contract included many classic movies from before 1986, which will be transferred to Warner Archive Instant.

DOCTOR WHO's Arthur Darvill and Joanna Christie to Join Broadway's ONCE Tomorrow

Arthur Darvill and Joanna Christie will make their Broadway debuts starring in the 8-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical ONCE at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre beginning Tuesday, April 23rd. The actors will take over from the temporary leads Ben Hope and Laura Dreyfuss, who, as planned and scheduled, will resume being standbys for 'Guy' and 'Girl.'

Beefcake, in all shapes and sizes, is front and center in the musical romp The Full Monty. As produced by Riverside Dinner Theatre in Fredericksburg, the show is a crowd-pleaser. A bit naughty, yes, so leave the kids at home. Otherwise, featured player Sally Struthers and company give the audience a rollicking good time.

The Garden Theatre Opens THE WIZARD OF OZ, 4/19

The Garden Theatre will present The Wizard of Oz showing April 19 - May 26 at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street), presented by CenturyLink. Directed by Rob Winn Anderson, The Wizard of Oz has a cast of over 50 children and adults ranging in age from 5-65 as actors, singers, and dancers from across the Central Florida area in this fresh take of the classic musical. The New Voices Collective will present NEW VOICES, NEW BLUE: A Celebration of Songs by Yale Musical Theatre Writers, Past and Present on Monday, April 15, at 8:00 p.m. The concert will explore work by some of Yale's most exciting and famous alumni, as well as current composers in the Shen Musical Theatre writing program at Yale University. An amazing cast of Broadway's finest voices will include Drew Gehling (Jersey Boys, On a Clear Day..., The Minister's Wife), Jenny Powers (Its A Bird...Its a Plane...Its Superman, Donnybrook, Grease, Little Women), Sally Wilfert (Assassins, Make Me A Song, See Rock City), and Michael Winther (Laramie Project Cycle, 33 Variations, Mamma Mia, Songs From An Unmade Bed) and J. Michael Zygo (Once, Rock of Ages), and will also feature emerging talent from Yale's musical theatre performance program.
