Performing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, violinist and Rice University Shepherd School of Music alumna Luke Hsu won the 41st annual Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Competition Saturday, June 4, at Rice University's Stude Concert Hall. Hsu's first place win earned her a gold medal, a $25,000 prize and a solo performance at Jones Hall with the Houston Symphony at the final concert of Day of Music at 7:30 p.m. July 9.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's popular Off the Hill series for families continues its 2015-16 season with ANTIGONE, John Yearley's world premiere adaptation about a brave young woman who must choose between obeying the laws of men and honoring her loyalty to her family.
