Balls, an exciting and inventive production, is now being performed at 59E59 Theaters through February 25. Written by Kevin Armento and Bryony Lavery, it is directed by Ianthe Demos and Nick Flint with movement direction by Natalie Lomonet. This is a stunning show that creatively portrays the infamous tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King and situations surrounding it.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to launch the 2018 Subscription Series with BALLS, written by Kevin Armento and Bryony Lavery and directed by Ianthe Demos and Nick Flint with movement direction byNatalie Lomonte. Produced by One Year Lease Theater Company and Stages Repertory Theatre,BALLS begins performances on Tuesday, January 16 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 25. Press Opening is Wednesday, January 24 at 7 PM. The performance schedule isTuesday Friday at 7 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 7 PM; and Sunday at 2 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison). Single tickets are $25 - $70 ($25 - $49 for 59E59 Members). Brandon Woolley will direct this tender story, starring Lexi Lapp and Alex J. Gould in their company debuts. Lapp will play Mary, the English dreamer we meet on the eve of her wedding day, and "Flowers," a commanding officer in WWI. Gould will play Charlie, the Canadian farm boy turned soldier.

The Flea Theater is excited to welcome playwright Sarah Gancher with the world premiere of THE PLACE WE BUILT. Artistic Associate Danya Taymor (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer, I Hate Mexicans) directs members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, with music direction and arrangements by The Bengsons. Previews start tonight, April 14th, with opening night slated for April 25th.
