Barefoot Theatre Company - Francisco Solorzano, Producing Artistic Director - presents ROCKAWAY, a benefit for Hurricane Sandy Victims, featuring readings of new short plays by Jesse Eisenberg, Israel Horovitz, Joe Pintauro, Jonathan Marc Sherman, Jose Rivera, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Lucy Boyle, and more at the Cherry Lane Theatre mainstage (38 Commerce Street) on Tuesday, December 18th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.

BAM presents the New York premiere of Theatre de la Ville's production of Ionesco's absurdist classic, Rhinoceros, directed by the Paris-based company's artistic director, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota. Both the company and the director are making their BAM debut. Written in 1959, the play is a satire on social conformity and a commentary on fascism

KILLERS: A NIGHTMARE HAUNTED HOUSE Opens in NYC, Now thru 11/3

Two of the nation's most creative forces within the Haunted House industry have announced plans for a major collaboration in New York City this fall. Timothy Haskell, Creator of NIGHTMARE (New York's most horrifying haunted house and AOL CityGuide's No. 1 rated haunted attraction in NYC), and Steve Kopelman, producer of THE NEST (named ABC News / Good Morning America's "Scariest Place in America") will present KILLERS: A NIGHTMARE HAUNTED HOUSE - a horrifying, immersive haunted house experience about our obsession and fascination with serial killers both real and fictional. KILLERS will run today, September 28 through November 3, 2012 at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street between Rivington and Delancey on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

SALAMANDER STARTS OVER Extends Run for FringeNYC Encore Series, Now thru 9/28

Salamander Starts Over, winner of the Best Solo Show at FringeNYC, has been extended to the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival's Encore Series. Salamander Starts Over, played to sold out houses during the August run and received rave reviews. Performances begin tonight, September 7th at The SoHo Playhouse.

For this opening of its 2012-13 season, there will be a series of talk-backs throughout the run, with the author, the producers and director, as well as experts in the respective field of this emotionally charged play.

Justin Brill + Kef Theatrical Productions Present METHTACULAR, Now thru 9/23

kef theatrical productions previously announced its partnership with Justin Brill (WICKED national tour) to present a four-week run of Steven Strafford's METHTACULAR! The production will run at the Playroom Theatre at 151 West 46th Street in New York beginning tonight, August 30th. The show is currently slated to run through September 23rd.

Kef theatrical productions presents the New York premiere of Steven Strafford's METHTACULAR!, directed by kef theatrical productions' Artistic Director Adam Fitzgerald, with music Supervision and Arrangements by Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winner John McDaniel. Preview performances of METHTACULAR! begin Off-Broadway on August 30th prior to an official press opening of Sunday, September 2nd at the Playroom Theatre (151 West 46th Street) in Manhattan.

The New Colony's 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE Plays Chicago 7/30-8/5; Heads to FringeNYC 8/10

John Arthur Pinckard, the Tony Award-Winning Producer of Clybourne Park,has joined with The New Colony, 2011 Broadway In Chicago Emerging Theater Award-recipient, to announce the acceptance of last summer's critically-acclaimed 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, written by Andrew Hobgood and Evan Linder and directed by Sarah Gitenstein, into The New York International Fringe Festival. Chicago audiences will be able to see the re-staging of last summer's hit production at Center on Halsted opening on Monday, July 30th with a limited run from August 2nd - August 5th before it heads to FringeNYC.
