National Youth Theatre Announces Full Casting For Its 2019 Autumn REP Season Of Three Plays

The National Youth Theatre (NYT) today announces full casting for its 2019 REP Season which opens this month with the London premiere of Neil Bartlett's adaptation of Great Expectations followed by an Artificial Intelligence-inspired and female-led production of Frankenstein both at Southwark Playhouse (18 October to 30 November). A third production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, will run at the Criterion Theatre (6 December to 17 January 2020) directed by Matt Harrison working in association with Kneehigh. This year's season will also see the NYT REP stage relaxed performances for the first time and features the most number of performances ever in its seven-year history. The 2019 company of 16 actors, aged 18-25, includes newcomers Guy Clark, Ella Dacres, Natalie Dunne, Jordan Ford Silver, Jamie Foulkes, Alice Franziska, Billy Hinchliff, Jadie Hobson, Bede Hodgkinson, Tiwalade Ibirogba Olulode, Julia Kass, Sarah Lusack, Jemima Mayala, Joseph Payne, Sonny Poon Tip, Raj Singh.

Nominees Announced For h100 Awards

h Club (Formerly The Hospital Club) have announced the nominees for this year's h100 Awards. The awards, now in their eleventh year, recognise and celebrate the UK's creative talent across ten different categories: Advertising, Marketing & PR; Architecture & Design, Arts & Crafts; Fashion; Film; Games; Music; Publishing & Writing; Television Broadcast; Theatre & Performance.

National Youth Theatre Announces Summer/Autumn 2019 Season

The National Youth Theatre today announces its 2019 Summer and Autumn Season which will feature an extended 7th annual REP season of three plays in London, brand new commissions staged in five cities across the UK and festival appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude and Bradford Literature Festival. This is the first time the majority of NYT's summer / autumn season productions will be staged outside of London. Three NYT members have also been appointed as paid Centre Stage Creatives and have also been commissioned to build local NYT networks and create new work in towns around the UK.

Further Casting Announced For The RSC Productions Of THE PROVOKED WIFE and VENICE PRESERVED

The Royal Shakespeare Company has today announced further casting for its forthcoming double-bill of Restoration plays, John Vanbrugh's The Provoked Wife and Thomas Otway's Venice Preserved. The Provoked Wife, directed by Phillip Breen, plays in repertoire from the 2 May 2019 with Venice Preserved, directed by Prasanna Puwanarajah, running from 24 May 2019 in the Swan Theatre.

BWW Review: MACBETH, Garrick Theatre

Something wicked has arrived in the West End. It comes in the form of the National Youth Theatre REP Company's production of Macbeth, which has been abridged beautifully by Moira Buffini. Shakespeare's epic tale has been condensed down to 100 minutes, and is jam-packed with lots of things that entertain and thrill.

Talawa Theatre Company Presents BITE YOUR TONGUE

Talawa Theatre Company has announced details for Bite Your Tongue: a new devised theatre production from London's emerging Black talent. Coming to Hackney Showroom from 31 August - 2 September, Bite Your Tongue is a response from the city's young theatre makers to issues with language and communication in a multi-cultural city.

Complicite to Stage U.S. Premiere of LIONBOY at The New Victory Theater

The Olivier Award-winning Complicite brings the U.S. premiere of Lionboy - the first family production in the company's 31-year history - to The New Victory Theater from January 23 - February 1, 2015. Based on Zizou Corder's bestselling fantasy trilogy for young adults, Lionboy uses inventive storytelling, shadow puppetry, physical theater and aerial acrobatics to tell this dystopian tale.
