Katia and Marielle Labeque are sibling pianists renowned for their ­ensemble of synchronicity and energy. Their musical ambitions started at an early age when they rose to international fame with their contemporary rendition of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue (one of the first gold records in classical music.) and have since developed a stunning career performing worldwide. In a string of hit recordings and international engagements, they've collaborated with a who's-who of famous composers, conductors and orchestras playing music from the baroque to the 21st Century.

Review - Fiorello!

In musicals like Fiddler On The Roof, She Loves Me and The Apple Tree, the team Jerry Bock (music) and Sheldon Harnick (lyrics) once graced Broadway with scores that found poetry and elegance in the lives of everyday people.  But nowhere is that more apparent than in the boisterously fun and heavily New York accented, Fiorello!, a celebration of the early career of Fiorello LaGuardia, the city's enormously popular 99th mayor.

BWW Special Tribute: Marc Shaiman on Robert B. Sherman

When the sad news came out this morning that famed Disney songwriter Robert B. Sherman died yesterday, March 5, in London, some of our first thoughts here at BroadwayWorld went out to Tony-winner Marc Shaiman. Shaiman had been a huge proponent of the incredible 'THE BOYS - The Sherman Brothers' Story' documentary and it was his enthusiasm that sent us off to see the fantastic film, and our lives were better off for it. We asked Marc to put together some of his thoughts on Robert Sherman and are proud to present them below.
