Spinning Tree opens 7th Season with Intimate FINIAN'S RAINBOW

The 1947 musical fantasy FINIAN'S RAINBOW, with music by Burton Lane and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, gets the Spinning Tree-tment September 1-17. The score, "one of the most enduringly delicious ever concocted for an American musical" (The New York Times), includes "Old Devil Moon," "How are things in Glocca Morra" and "Look to the Rainbow."

Irish Rep Announces Second Extension of WOODY SEZ

Due to unprecedented demand, Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) announced today a second extension for WOODY SEZ: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF WOODY GUTHRIE, directed by Nick Corley (Kissing Jessica Stein), which will now run through September 10. Devised by David M. Lutken, with Nick Corley, and Darcie Deaville, Helen J. Russell, and Andy Teirstein, WOODY SEZ began performances on June 1, 2017 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, and officially opened on June 8, 2017. Tickets are on sale now through Irish Rep's box office at 212-727-2737 or online at IrishRep.org.

Photos and Video: Immigrant Arts Coalition Formed at National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's Arts Summit; Watch John Leguizamo's Keynote Speech!

At a plenary session today, participants in the first Immigration Arts Summit, conceived and hosted by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on Monday and Tuesday, agreed to formally organize as an Immigrant Arts Coalition, a network of arts organizations and individual artists that produce ethnic-based art from other cultures for New York audiences. New York Premiere of Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE to Play Irish Rep

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today that their Fall 2017 Mainstage production will be the New York Premiere of Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE. Directed by Charlotte Moore (Finian's Rainbow), THE HOME PLACE will begin performances in Fall 2017 on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).

As part of their 2017 summer season, Irish Repertory Theatre, is presenting the music, life, and legacy of folk icon, Woody Guthrie in the musical, Woody Sez: The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie. Actress and musician, Megan Loomis, has starred in this production in Guthrie's home state of Oklahoma as well as internationally in Scotland and Vienna and is excited to bring Guthrie's influence to New York City this summer! BWW Interview: Director Joe O'Byrne Returns to Irish Rep this Summer with THE ARAN ISLANDS

As part of their 2017 summer season, Irish Repertory Theatre, is presenting the US premiere of THE ARAN ISLANDS, directed by Joe O' Byrne. Returning to Irish Rep after 16 years, O'Byrne is looking forward to sharing Irish playwright, John Millington Synge's work with New York audiences and is grateful to this organization for making it possible to share the work of Irish artists. This classic work celebrates the art of storytelling and challenges audiences to step outside their own cultures for a brief time and immerse themselves in a whole new world of discovery and enlightenment. Irish Rep Continues New Works Reading Series with CEASEFIRE SOLDIERS Today

Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 11th season of the New Works Reading Series with a staged reading of Jimmy Murphy's play CEASEFIRE SOLDIERS.
