Irish Rep To Present McGuiness's 'Master Builder'

The Irish Repertory Theatre will open its 2008-2009 season with the world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Frank McGuinness's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's THE MASTER BUILDER. McGuinness' adaptation was commissioned by the Irish Rep and will be directed by Ciaran O'Reilly.

The Irish Repertory Theatre in association with The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will present AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS. This high-spirited, fast-moving and highly imaginative show, by Mark Brown from the novel by Jules Verne, begins previews July 11th, opens July 20th and continues through September 7th at the Irish Repertory Theatre.

Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 'Little Shop' Casting

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) announces its mainstage production of Little Shop of Horrors, a musical written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It's a musical comedy to die for - literally! The musical is based on Roger Corman's 1960 sci-fi comedy and includes several show-stopping numbers including 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' and 'Suddenly Seymour,' as well as the title song. Little Shop of Horrors will run at the Millburn theatre from June 4 through July 6, 2008.

Irish Rep Theatre and 'Take Me Along' Aid Kenyan Children

The Irish Repertory Theatre and the cast of'Take Me Along' are stepping up to help children affected by the recent violence in Kenya by doing what they do best. On Sunday, April 6, the proceeds from 'Take Me Along,' a musical by Robert Merill, Joseph Stein and Robert Russell, based on the book by Eugene O'Neill, will support the urgent needs of children who have been displaced by fighting throughout Kenya.

The Irish Repertory Theatre will begin previews of Joseph Stein and Robert Russell's unabashedly romantic, Take Me Along, with lush, moving American music and lyrics, written by Tony Award nominated Robert Merrill on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The production will open on Thursday, February 28, 2008.

Irish Rep Presents Holiday Classics Dec.5-30

The Irish Repertory Theatre will present Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales & Twas the Night Before Christmas, adapted and directed by Charlotte Moore, with traditional and original music, December 5 - 30, 2007. Previews begin December 5. The official opening will be on December 13, 2007.
