Synetic Theater will perform two free shows at the Lubber Run Amphitheater featuring their family shows The Music Box and The Miraculous Magical Balloon. Synetic Theater's 2014/15 Season will open in September with an original adaptation of H.G. Wells science-fiction masterpiece The Island of Dr. Moreau directed by and starring Synetic Artisitic Director, Paata Tsikurishvili. Then, just in time for the holidays, Synetic presents a brand-new version of Beauty and the Beast that puts a new twist on the original tale. In February, the company will present their 11th 'wordless Shakespeare' adaptation with Much Ado About Nothing. The Season will conclude in May with Janus Glowacki's hilarious dark comedy Hunting Cockroaches starring Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili - on stage together for the first time since 2010 - and guest directed by Serge Seiden of Studio Theatre.

Responding to audience demand, Synetic Theater has added two performances to the run of their 10th 'silent Shakespeare' Adaptation, Twelfth Night, January 9 - February 16, 2014. Regular performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. The two additional Saturday performances will take place on February 8 and 15 at 2 p.m.
Just when you were about to pack it in because of the miserable weather Synetic Theater has come up with a joyous, raucous celebration of love-and jazz-in its latest Shakespeare adaptation. Twelfth Night, perhaps the Bard's most beloved comedy, is realized here as a manic and slapstick-ridden romp through the Roaring Twenties. Featuring classic tunes from the early jazz era, director Paata Tsikurishvili has set the action in a silent-era Hollywood sound stage. His wife, Irina, heads a stellar cast that channels the best of 1920's screen comedians, to brilliant effect.
Synetic Theater co-founders Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili will be recognized on January 15th by Washingtonian Magazine as Washingtonians of the Year for being local heroes in their commitment to making the Washington DC community a better place through boundary-pushing theater.

This December Morey B. Epstein will join the Synetic Theater family after 24 years as the chief development officer at Washington DC's Studio Theatre. Synetic is most known for cutting-edge and visceral theatre productions and has won 92 Helen Hayes Award Nominations and 24 Awards in 12 years of its existence. Mr. Epstein will use his expertise and extensive knowledge to help fund Synetic's mission and programs. He will be responsible for organizing and directing all facets of fundraising activities.
