Synetic Theater kicks off its 2013-2014 season with a new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, directed by Synetic Founder and Artistic Director Paata Tsikurishvili. Synetic's reinvention of this classic tale features dynamic movement and multimedia, and promises to be a unique fusion of visual and verbal poetry that will explore the internal and external dimensions of Wilde's only novel, which many consider his most personal work-a timelessly supernatural story of man's endless conflict with the nature of mortality.

Synetic Theater invites you to the annual Vampire's Ball on Friday, November 1. The Vampire's Ball has been a tradition at Synetic since 2007, when it was originally organized in conjunction with The Fall of the House of Usher. This year, The Vampire's Ball will follow another creepy and supernatural Synetic stand-out, The Picture of Dorian Gray. After being treated to a spectacular performance, guests will dance the night away in Synetic's new studio, courtesy of Resident Composer and Halloween DJ Konstantine Lortkipanidze. The event will also include an open bar, light appetizers and costume contest with fabulous Synetic prizes! The Kennedy Center hosts its 11th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival from today, September 1, 2012 to Monday, September 3, 2012, featuring more than 40 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The three-day, Center-wide event offers a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.
