The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, a two-time Tony Award winner and latest recipient of the National Medal of Arts, is now accepting projects for development during the 2017 National Music Theater Conference. Applicants may submit music theater works for consideration through Friday, November 18th, 2016.

The Onassis Cultural Center New York launches its fall season with Antigone Now, the second annual Onassis Festival of Arts and Ideas, October 13-16, featuring a new work created by acclaimed artist Carrie Mae Weems presented one time only on opening ?night. Weems participates in Past Tense, the performance-based piece to be presented on October 13, at 8 pm, at the cultural center, 645 Fifth Avenue, NY. Site-specific installations by three contemporary artists created for Antigone Now will also debut and remain on view through December 15.

The Public Theater presents MOBILE UNIT'S HAMLET, directed by Patricia McGregor. The sit-down run of HAMLET follows a free three-week tour to the five boroughs bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. The Shakespeare classic will run in The Public Theater's Shiva Theater through Sunday, October 9. Actors Billy Magnussen, Michael Chernus, Will Rogers and Staceyann Chin have joined the Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) 2016 ONE Brooklyn Community MTA Campaign, which launched on September 7 in 36 Brooklyn subway stations, featuring stylized posters illustrating a diverse, hip and eclectic group of Brooklyn movers and shakers who are advocating for poor and low-income Brooklyn residents.
