World Premiere of PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY to Open Off-Broadway

One Year Lease Theater Company presents the World Premiere of Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally by Brooklyn-based playwright Kevin Armento (Good Men Wanted - 2015 O'Neill National Playwriting Finalist/PlayPenn Finalist, 2015-2016 Ars Nova Artist-in-Residence, Companion Piece at Pleasance Theatre, London)for a limited Off-Broadway run from September 30 to October 24 at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, NYC). Over 30 Additional Artistic Directors Sign Open Letter in Support of Ari Roth

In a continued outpouring of solidarity among a giant consortium of the American theater's artistic directors, more than 30 additional artistic directors have signed the open letter that was issued yesterday in support of Ari Roth, following his recent dismissal from the Jewish Community Center in Washington, D.C., where he has served as Artistic Director of Theater J for the past 18 years.

A.R.T. & OBERON Add Additional POOL (NO WATER) Performance

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) and OBERON are pleased to announce that due to the highticket demand for the production pool (no water), an additional performance has been added to the limited run schedule. The new schedule is as follows:

POOL (NO WATER) to Open Off-Broadway at Barrow Street Theater this Fall

One Year Lease Theater Company brings their sold-out critically-acclaimed 2012 production of pool (no water) back to NYC for a limited Off-Broadway run from October 21-November 24 at Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue South). Written by controversial English playwright Mark Ravenhill and directed by Ianthe Demos, pool (no water) will be arriving in NYC from a run at A.R.T.'s Oberon in Boston.

American Repertory Theatre and OBERON's Fall Season to Include POOL (NO WATER), SHIDA, and RUBY WAX: SANE NEW WORLD

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced fall programming at OBERON, featuring limited engagements of exciting work by groundbreaking artists. The lineup for October and November includes POOL (NO WATER) by Mark Ravenhill, created by One Year Lease Theater Company and directed by Ianthe Demos; SHIDA, a new musical in development, written and performed by Broadway powerhouse Jeannette Bayardelle and directed by Andy Sandberg; and RUBY WAX: SANE NEW WORLD, written and performed by the incomparable comedienne and actor Ruby Wax.

One Year Lease Theater Company to Present US Premiere of WHAT WE KNOW, 12/4-21

One Year Lease Theater Company presents the US premiere of What We Know by Scottish playwright Pamela Carter for a limited Off-Broadway run from December 4 - 21, 2013 at Teatro Circulo (64 East 4th Street, NYC). Vassar Drama Department Presents LYSISTRATA, 12/6-8

The Vassar Drama department will present three performances of Aristophanes' comedic satire about war and sex, Lysistrata, directed by guest artist Ianthe Demos, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 6, 7, and 8, at 8:00pm, in the Martel Theater of the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film. Demos, a 2000 Vassar graduate, co-founded the critically acclaimed One Year Lease theater company (OYL) in 2001 and their work has been widely praised by the New York Times and New York magazine among other outlets.
