Malthouse Theatre and Black Swan State Theatre Company today announced the cast for the epic saga that traverses 20 years of fighting to keep two families-the Lambs and the Pickles- together in one massive house.

NEUROSIS, with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards, just hit the studio to record an original Off-Broadway cast album this fall with JAY Records and produced by John Yap.

While the exact location of composer Ben Green, lyricist Greg Edwards and bookwriter Allan Rice's funny and frothy new musical dating adventure, Neurosis, is never revealed, it's a safe bet that New Yorkers, who have glamorized and romanticized neurotic tendencies into a beloved badge of honor, will mightily relate to its wacky antics in the name of love.

Midsommer Flight's FOURTEEN LINES recording launch party has been moved to Uncommon Ground Edgewater. The event is relocated following abrupt closure of Uptown Underground on Tuesday. The Monday, September 17 benefit party celebrating the release of Midsommer Flight's first stand-alone album of twelve Shakespearean sonnets set to music - originally scheduled to be held at Uptown Underground - has been moved to Uncommon Ground - Edgewater, at 1401 W. Devon Ave.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, adds four performances to the run of Qui Nguyen's Vietgone. The production is directed by Lavina Jadhwani, with original music and music direction by Gabriel Ruiz and choreography by Tommy Rapley. Due to demand, Vietgone now runs through September 29, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Building upon its success in creating original music for its productions, Midsommer Flight has developed its first stand-alone album of twelve Shakespearean sonnets set to music composed by Midsommer Flight ensemble members Elizabeth Rentfro and Erick Rivera. Rentfro and Rivera have written original music for many of the company's productions, including its popular music-infused annual Twelfth Night each December.

Escape to Margaritaville, the new musical featuring the songs of singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, played its final Broadway performance on July 1.
