Stage Tube: Owen Teale Discusses GASLIGHT

GASLIGHT premiered in London in 1938 and immediately became an international success. In 1944, it was adapted into an iconic film starring Ingrid Bergman. Since then, the play has become a staple of theatre companies in Britain but rarely seen in North America. This brand new production will be mounted in the U.K. before travelling across the Atlantic to the Ed Mirvish Theatre.

GASLIGHT, a thriller play which is the namesake for the term gaslighting (a form of psychological abuse in which false information is presented to the victim with the intent of making them doubt their sanity) opened in Toronto last week. The production stars Game of Thrones' Owen Teale and Ian McElhinney as the husband (Mr. Mannigham) and detective respectively. Flora Montgomery shines as the abused Mrs. Mannigham.

Owen Teale & Ian McElhinney to Lead Mirvish's GASLIGHT; New Additions to 2015-16 Season Revealed!

David Mirvish announces additional shows and new details about his 2015-16 theatre season. Consisting of seven shows in the Main Subscription and three shows in the Off-Mirvish Subscription, the season also has eight shows that will be presented outside of subscription. In total, Mirvish will produce and/or present 18 shows in four different theatres - The Royal Alexandra, The Princess of Wales, The Ed Mirvish and The Panasonic.

THREE MINUTE HEROES Returns to Belgrade Stage, Now thru 25 October

The Belgrade Theatre has announced that Three Minute Heroes will make its long awaited return to Coventry for three weeks this Autumn. This brand new production by Bob Eaton will play on the Belgrade's B2 stage from today 4 - Sat 25 October. This will be followed by the return of the Belgrade's popular B2 Xmas show, Oh No It Isn't! from Mon 8 - Sat 27 December; an 'udderly' gripping comedy thriller created especially for grown-ups.

Canton Symphony Features Local Composer and Music Director, Eric Benjamin, Tonight

Local composer and music director, Eric Benjamin is one of the featured composers in this Sunday's opening night Canton Symphony Orchestra concert. His Marches and Airs will be one of three pieces contributing to the theme of the performance, 'Scottish Fantasy.' The concert is tonight, October 6 at 7:30pm in Umstattd Performing Arts Hall at McKinley High School.
