The 34th season of the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series chamber concerts showcasing Musicians from the Orchestra performing classical masterpieces and modern compositions in the intimate setting of Merkin Concert Hall will continue on Sunday, February 18, 2018. The concert will include Beethoven's String Trio, Op. 9, No. 1; Debussy's Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp; and Fibich's Quintet, Op. 42.

The 33rd season of the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series, chamber concerts showcasing Musicians from the Orchestra performing classical masterpieces and modern compositions in an intimate setting, will continue on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles chamber music series will feature musicians from the Orchestra in a series of six concerts at Merkin Concert Hall during the 2015-16 season.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its third performance of the 2014-15 season on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Andy Akiho's Hadairo, The rAy's end, and Aka; Paul Schoenfield's Trio for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano; and Schumann's Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 63.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles chamber music series will feature musicians from the Orchestra in a series of six concerts at Merkin Concert Hall during the 2014-15 season.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its last performance of the 2013-14 season on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Bartok's 44 Duos for 2 Violins, Nos. 26-44; Fanny Mendelssohn's String Quartet; and Vaughan Williams's Piano Quintet. The musicians on the program will be Associate Principal, Second Violin Group Lisa Kim, Hyunju Lee, Anna Rabinova, and Sharon Yamada; Assistant Principal Viola Irene Breslaw; cellists Eric Bartlett and Alexei Yupanqui Gonzales; Acting Principal Bass Satoshi Okamoto; and guest pianist Jonathan Feldman.

Over the weekend Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic performed in Istanbul, Turkey. The Orchestra's first appearance there in 18 years also offered an opportunity to catch some of the colorful capital's local flavor. Then the New York Philharmonic Principal Brass Quintet launched the return to Zurich - home of Credit Suisse, the Orchestra's Global Sponsor - with a free performance. Bach's Cantata No. 51, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen; Philharmonic bassist David J. Grossman's Mood Swings; Beethoven's Sextet in E-flat major, Op. 81b; and Brahms's String Quintet in G major.
