Kitchen Theatre to Stage LONELY PLANET, Begin. 10/15

Following the wildly successful world premiere of The House, which rang in the 24th season, Kitchen Theatre Company will offer Steven Dietz's powerful and moving Lonely Planet. Lonely Planet tells the story of two friends, Jody and Carl, who use their wit and sense of absurdity to negotiate the turbulent world at the height of the AIDS crisis. Lonely Planet begins previews on October 15, with opening night on October 18. The play runs until November 2.

DIRT Returns to New York City Tonight at 4th Street Theater

Mr. Domig has received rave reviews for performing Robert Schneider's play around the world and now returns to New York with a bold new production at The 4th Street Theater (83 East 4th Street) from today, September 18 to October 12. He won 'Best Actor' for this role at the New York International Fringe Festival and performed it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Vancouver Fringe Festival in addition to lauded performances in London and Berlin. An exclusive online trailer is now available. This production of DIRT is directed by Mary Catherine Burke and produced by Dreck Theatre Ensemble.

Yale School of Drama Presents Sondheim's SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, Now thru 12/20

Yale School of Drama (James Bundy, Dean; Victoria Nolan, Deputy Dean) presents SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, music and lyrics by Steven Sondheim, book by James Lapine, and directed by Ethan Heard, tonight, December 14 to December 20 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Performances are Friday-Thursday at 8pm.

Astoria PAC Extends THE HUMAN COMEDY Thru May 28

The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) is pleased to announce the extension of Galt MacDermot?s (HAIR) musical, The Human Comedy. With libretto by William Dumaresq based on the story by William Saroyan, the highly acclaimed production is directed by APAC Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik and music directed by Jeffrey Campos, reuniting IT Award Nominee Christine O?Grady as choreographer, IT Award Recipient Michael P. Kramer as set designer, Hunter Kaczorowski as costume designer, David A. Thomas as sound designer, and casting by wojcik|seay casting.
