Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, will present the New York premiere of See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander; book and lyrics by Adam Mathias; directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (two-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Outstanding Director for TG's The Audience and The Boys in the Band), beginning Saturday, July 17, and opening Sunday, July 25, at 7pm at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, 229 West 42nd Street.

The Saint Michael's Playhouse stages ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE, concluding the 2010 season of Equity professional summer theater, in the McCarthy Arts Center at Saint Michael's College. There has been a lot of discussion lately about the role of Hollywood actors on the Broadway stage, especially following the Tony Awards -- where bonafide A-List movie stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Denzel Washinton all picked up acting awards. In all three categories (best leading actress in a musical, best featured actress in a play, best leading actor in a play), these Hollywood heavyweights beat out theatre actors who are arguably just as talented, if not as well known to the world outside New York.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Broadway's new hit musical, is pleased to announce that Academy Award winner and two-time Grammy Award winner Melissa Etheridge will join the cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical for a special performance during the finale of the Wednesday evening, June 23 performance.

Actor Hunter Foster's Facebook campaign 'Give the Tonys Back to Broadway' now has over 7700 members, the Los Angeles Times reports. The group was created on June 16.

On Monday, June 21, New York Musical Theatre Festival hosted their 'Best of Fest' Gala. The event celebrated NYMF alumni and introduced some of the new projects NYMF alums are working on now.
