The Hollywood Pantages, a Nederlander Theatre, announced today the addition of eight shows available as options to the already on sale 2015-2016 SEASON. This new lineup of shows includes the return of Six Hollywood Pantages favorites. The Added Optional Shows will include Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, RIVERDANCE - THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR, MAMMA MIA!, ONCE, RAIN - A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES & last season's smash hit, KINKY BOOTS.

The original Broadway version of Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT closes today, June 14, 2015. The Visit began performances at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 26 and officially opened on Thursday, April 23. Producers announced today that The Visit starring Chita Rivera will play its final performance on Sunday, June 14th(3 PM).  Previews began on March 26th and opening night was April 23, 2015.  The Visit is at the Lyceum Theatre   (149 West 45th Street).

Lead producers Daryl Roth, Hal Luftig and David Mirvish present the Canadian premiere production of Broadway's Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots). NBC has announced that Tony nominated actress Chita Rivera will be a guest on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON tonight, June 4th.

The company of Broadway's The Visit gathered in the studio on April 27th to record the musical's original cast album. The Visit is the final musical ever written by legendary Oscar Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning composer John Kander and his writing partner lyricist Fred Ebb, before Mr. Ebb passed away. Produced by the Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated producer Michael Croiter (Matilda, Big Fish, Heathers), The Visit album will be released June 26th, 2015. As previously reported, The Visit's Roger Rees has taken a leave from his role in the new Broadway musical The Visit, with Tom Nelis stepping in for the time being. Today, producers have released a statement on Rees' departure, confirming it's due to medical reasons.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Roger Rees is currently on leave from The Visit, and in his place, Tom Nelis is temporarily stepping in as Anton Schell. No word yet on the duration of the hiatus. Of note, the star has also been swapped out for Nelis on the show's official web site. Producers Ken Davenport and Michael Jackowitz have announced that the new musical DADDY LONG LEGS will open this fall at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street). Based on the 1912 novel by Jean Webster, DADDY LONG LEGS features music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility), book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables), direction by John Caird, and will star Megan McGinnis (Broadway's Les Miserables, Side Show, Little Women). DADDY LONG LEGS begins previews on September 10, 2015, and will officially open September 27, 2015. DADDY LONG LEGS plays a strictly limited engagement through January 10, 2016.
