Robbie Fairchild, Michael Arden and Andrea McArdle Join BEST IN SHOWS at Feinstein's/54 Below

Robert Fairchild, Michael Arden and Andrea McArdle will join Annaleigh Ashford, Bill Berloni, Sutton Foster, Joanna Gleason, Orfeh and Hugh Panaro in Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening to benefit the Humane Society of New York, on Sunday, November 1 at Feinstein's/ 54 Below.  Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey will be awarded the first annual Humane Society of New York's Sandy Award, presented to an artist who has shown a fierce commitment, through action and advocacy, to the cause of animal rights.

The second annual BEST IN SHOWS, a star-studded cabaret evening to benefit the Humane Society of New York, will feature Broadway stars including Annaleigh Ashford, Bill Berloni, Christian Borle, Sutton Foster, Joanna Gleason, Debra Monk, Orfeh and Hugh Panaro, on Sunday, November 1 at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey will be awarded the first annual Humane Society of New York's Sandy Award, presented to an artist who has shown a fierce commitment, through action and advocacy, to the cause of animal rights.

Jennifer Diamond to Join RUTHLESS! on 10/5

Beginning Monday, October 5th, Jennifer Diamond will assume the roles of Louise Lerman and Eve Allabout in RUTHLESS! The Musical at St. Luke's Theatre in the heart of the Theatre District. She's replacing Tracy Jai Edwards who is departing the show to appear in the new musical Gotta Dance, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.

Donna McKechnie, Hugh Panaro & More Will Shine a Spotlight on 'THE JEWISH LEGACY OF BROADWAY' This December

The Actors Fund, in association with Michael Childers, will present a one-night only special event, Tradition: The Jewish Legacy of Broadway, a celebration of the great Jewish composers, lyricists and performers who graced the stages of Broadway from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, on Monday, December 14 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street).   All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of The Actors Fund.

Cast Announced for Seattle Music Theatre's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

Seattle Musical Theatre's 2015/2016 season roars to life with the high-voltage rock opera JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Seattle superstar Billie Wildrick makes her SMT directorial debut as director and will be joined by SMT Associate Music Consultant Brandon Peck as music director and BroadwayWorld Award-winning Troy Wageman as choreographer.

The Broadway community mourned the loss of Tony Award-winning actor and Tony-nominated director, Roger Rees, who passed away last Friday at age 71, by dimming the Great White Way's theater marquees in his memory tonight, July 15th, at 7:45 p.m. for one minute. The Yankee Doodle Pops concert on the Iowa State Capitol's West Terrace, welcomed three-time Tony Award®-winning composer Jason Robert Brown to conduct the orchestra in selections from Broadway's THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, featuring soloists Christiane Noll and Hugh Panaro. The musical, winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations, is famously set in Iowa and will launch its national tour at the Des Moines Civic Center November 28 - December 5.
