Goodman Theatres honors the life and legacy of Howard Witt, one of the American theater's most accomplished actors, by hosting a public celebration event on Monday, October 2. Witt, whose six-decade theatrical career began and ended at the Goodman, passed away peacefully on June 21 at the age of 85. The celebration includes remarks and artistic presentations by Witt's family, including his three children-Deborah, Robin and Joshua Witt-close friends and artists.

From these openings, 96 productions were 'Jeff Recommended,' which made them eligible for award nominations.

Edward Torres, Artistic Director of Teatro Vista, makes his Goodman directorial debut with this second play of a three-year producing partnership between the Goodman and Teatro Vista, Chicago's first and largest not-for-profit professional Latino theater company. The Stage is reporting that Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Really Useful Group are in talks to sell four of his London theatres (the New London, Palace, Cambridge and Her Majesty's ) to a consortium led by former BBC and ITV chairman Michael Grade and theatrical agent Michael Linnit.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Really Useful Group (RUG) today announced the successful refinancing of all the company's debts through a new £150million banking facility with Bank of Scotland Corporate, whilst maintaining 100 percent ownership of the music copyrights and other assets. RUG is advised by Riverhill Partners Limited.
