The 2010 Festival of New American Musicals, a three month musical theatre festival, will be held May 16 through August 21 2010, throughout Southern California. Marcia Seligson, Bob Klein, and Linda Shusett are the Executive Producers of the annual festival, now in its third year.

Southern Rep and Le Chat Noir announce an exciting new alliance: As of Summer 2010, Southern Rep will take on a role as a Resident Producer at Le Chat Noir. Southern Rep's Artistic Director, Aimée Hayes and her staff will plan a separate season for the intimate stage, and work in collaboration with Le Chat Noir founder and owner, Barbara Motley, who is planning a cabaret season at the venue beginning in 2011. Current staffing for both institutions will remain the same, but the two organizations plan to use this opportunity to increase the frequency and variety of the programming at Le Chat Noir, both on the stage and in the Bar Noir.

The Waterfront Playhouse presents 'BitchSlap!'starring Christopher Peterson as Bette Davis, Randy Roberts as Joan Crawford and Vanessa McCaffrey as Hedda Hopper. Written and directed by Darrin Hagen, 'BitchSlap!' played to completely sold out houses during the 2009 WFPH run. Now back by popular demand, it runs for two weeks only, March 30 to April 10 at 8 pm. 'Solares Hill' said of the 2009 production, 'The three larger-than-life stars charmingly captured the legendary divas.' The show is sponsored by KEY TV, with their 70th season sponsored by El Meson de Pepe's, Comcast and Digital Island Media.

Friends In Deed will present a legendary trio as Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka star in the first-ever New York presentation of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), the play will be presented in a special One Night Only staged reading benefit on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

West 43rd Street will become a little pinker, as will the Easter Parade (and all of New York City in general) when the actor Leslie Jordan arrives to bring his acclaimed solo show, My Trip Down The Pink Carpet, to the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) this Spring. Producer Bruce Robert Harris announced that performances will begin on Wednesday, April 15, with an official opening night set for Monday evening, April 20. David Galligan directs the 6-week limited engagement.
