Windy City Times Job Fair Set for This Month at Center on Halsted

More than 70 major corporations, small businesses, government agencies and nonprofits are expected for the third annual Windy City Times WERQ! LGBTQ job fair Friday, Sept. 29, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, Chicago. In 2016, more than 500 people attended the Job Fair.

Chicago Equality Rally At Andersonville Midsommarfest Announces Lineup

The organizers of the Chicago Equality Rally have announced the program lineup for the Sunday, June 11 rally to be held at 11AM at Andersonville Midsommarfest in solidarity with the Equality March for Unity and Pride in Washington, D.C. Speakers and performers will promote visibility, unity, and pride. Actor, writer, and producer Fawzia Mirza will helm the program as emcee.  

Cast Complete for Iris Theatre's Open-Air Production of MACBETH at Covent Garden

Final casting is revealed today for Iris Theatre's 10th anniversary immersive production of Macbeth, joining the previously announced David Hywel Baynes, who has returned from the US to star as Macbeth following his Best Actor Offie Award-nominated tour-de-force as King Richard in Richard III, also for Iris Theatre.

LGBTQ Aging Summit 'OUTAging' to Address Advocacy, Service Needs in Chicago

Pride Action Tank, AARP and Affinity Community Services will host OUTAging: Summit on Our Possibilities, including an opening reception, on May 23-25. The summit will bring together LGBTQ older adults, service providers, clinicians and advocates from across the nation to talk about the needs of LGBTQ older adults (55+ years of age) in the Chicago region.

Chicago Survivors Presents DISARM GUN VIOLENCE: AN LGBTQ TOWN HALL FOR ACTION

In response to the epidemic of shootings in Chicago, and the massacre of mostly LGBTQ, mostly Latino individuals at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Chicago-area LGBTQ, Latinx, community and gun violence prevention organizations are coming together for "Disarm Gun Violence: An LGBTQ Town Hall For Action" Thursday, Oct. 20. The event will focus on education, coalition building and action.
