American Repertory Theater will present THE BLUE FLOWER by Jim and Ruth Bauer at the Loeb Drama Center December 1, 2010 - January 8, 2011. The production will be directed by Will Pomerantz, with movement by Tom Nelis, and music direction by Mark Rubenstein.

The Red Bull Theater announces its 2010-2011 Revelation Readings. Some actors and actresses involved in the readings include Maria Dizzia, Jessica Hecht, Jan Maxwell, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mary Testa, and Michael Urie. Jan Maxwell Leads WINGS at Second Stage; Previews Begin Oct. 5, 2010

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Tony Award nominee JAN MAXWELL will star in Arthur Kopit's acclaimed play WINGS this fall. Directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company), WINGS will begin previews at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) on Tuesday, October 5. The production will officially open on Sunday, October 24.

The Dybbuk Featured In TNC's Dream Up Festival 8/8-9/5

Of the 25 plays to be presented in Theater for the New City's upcoming 'Dream Up Festival' August 8 to September 5 (www.dreamupfestival.org), one in particular indicates the expansion of TNC into the international arena.

This season's line-up includes the World Premiere of Howard Barker's GARY THE THIEF and the NY Premiere of Howard Barker's PLEVNA: MEDITATIONS ON HATRED, both directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli (American Associate of The Wrestling School), the NY Premiere of Snoo Wilson's LOVESONG OF THE ELECTRIC BEAR, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Cheryl Faraone, and a revival of David Rabe's A QUESTION OF MERCY, based on the Journal by Richard Selzer, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Jim Petosa.

Marin Theatre Company's WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG Extends Through 6/27

Marin Theatre Company has announced an extension of their revival of Woody Guthrie's American Song. The show now plays in Marin Theatre Company's Boyer Theatre through June 27, 2010. Conceived, adapted and directed by Peter Glazer, this musical has been pleasing audiences since its premiere in 1988. It won the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for best musical in its co-production at Berkeley Rep and San Jose Repertory Theatre in 1992.
