New York City Opera to Preview LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST at Bryant Park

New York Philharmonic To Return To BRAVO! Vail, 7/21-28

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado, celebrating its 30th season, for the Orchestra's 15th annual summer residency, July 21-28, 2017. The residency will include six orchestral concerts that honor the Philharmonic's legacy on the occasion of its 175th anniversary season and the conclusion of Alan Gilbert's tenure as Music Director.

Lyric Opera Announces Casting for Spring Run of FELLOW TRAVELERS

Lyric Unlimited has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Fellow Travelers. Tenor Jonas Hacker and baritone Joseph Lattanzi will sing the lead roles of Timothy Laughlin and Hawkins Fuller, two men who fall in love during the height of the McCarthy era in 1950s Washington D.C. Devon Guthrie will sing the role of Mary Johnson, Hawkins's assistant and Timothy's confidante.

SNOWFALL's Carter Hudson to Headline Ensemble for the Romantic Century's VAN GOGH'S EAR

The Ensemble for the Romantic Century has announced that the 2017-18 season, ERC's 17th, will take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) beginning August 10th with Van Gogh's Ear. Opening Night is set for August 17th. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through September 10th only.

Based on the New Testament Gospel of Matthew, this re-imagined, updated version of Stephen Schwartz's Broadway classic takes place in an untraditional setting, and includes the show's parade of beloved musical classics, including 'Day by Day,' 'Learn Your Lessons Well,' 'All for the Best,' 'All Good Gifts,' 'By My Side' and 'Beautiful City.' Steppenwolf Theatre Company announces a change in the casting of the LookOut Series Concert Reading of Standup Shakespeare. This event, which is a benefit concert reading for the theatre, will still feature the extraordinary talent of Steppenwolf co-founder Jeff Perry and Broadway legend Alice Ripley. Joining them will be Grammy and Clio Award-winning Opera singer Thomas Young, who was in the original Off-Broadway production directed by Mike Nichols and is featured on the Standup Shakespeare cabaret review album recorded in 1995.

Houston Grand Opera Appoints Producing Director

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) has appointed Molly Dill to the newly created position of producing director, it was announced by HGO Managing Director Perryn Leech. An HGO staff member since 2003, Dill most recently served as the company's general manager. One of Dill's first acts in her new role was to hire Paul Spittle as technical director. He will begin his duties in August.

Houston Grand Opera Appoints New Marketing Director

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) has appointed Dale Edwards, a veteran of the New York performing arts marketing and advertising world, to the position of marketing director, it was announced by HGO Managing Director Perryn Leech. He assumes the position July 24.
