Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, announces its first annual 'SDC Foundation Awards: A Celebration of Excellence in Directing and Choreography.'

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle is proud to announce a new special award to be presented at its upcoming awards ceremony on March 20: The Gordon Davidson Award for distinguished contribution to the Los Angeles theatrical community. The award is sponsored by the Center Theatre Group, where Gordon Davidson served as the founding Artistic Director from 1967 to 2005, and will be presented this year to Pro99.

Currently spooking audiences as a ghostly apparition and other ensemble roles is performer Spencer S Lawson. Being in his senior year at The Hartt School at The University of Hartford, Spencer joins fellow Hartt students in the production as well as veteran ensemble members, many of whom have been performing in the annual production since its conception in 1998. While donning his Hartford Stage 'A Christmas Carol' apparel and flashing a charming smile, Lawson expressed his sadness that the run is coming to an end, but also thankful that he was able to be a part of it.

On October 24, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation) will celebrate the 27th Annual Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The evening will be hosted by former Callaway Award-winning Jack O'Brien and Callaway Award finalist Joshua Bergasse.

'FLY' is on the Crossroads Theater Stage through April 17th. Written by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan, directed by Khan and choreographed by Hope Clarke, this must-see production is brilliant.

FLY, the soaring tale of the first African American Army Air Corp pilots known as the Tuskegee Airmen, returns in April to Crossroads Theatre Company where it premiered seven years ago, culminating a bicoastal tour of the critically acclaimed production.

The legendary Andre de Shields stopped by to visit the cast of Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, now in performance through Sunday, March 6 at The York Theatre Company.  He was joined by original Broadway cast member Hope Clarke, with guestsKecia Lewis and Natasha Yvette Williams.

From training to combat, experience the anguish, fears and triumphs of a brotherhood who fought for freedom abroad -- and at home. FLY, directed by Ricardo Khan, co-founder and former artistic director of Crossroads Theatre Company, and choreographed by Hope Clarke (A Free Man of Color; Jelly's Last Jam; Caroline, or Change) and Omar Edwards (Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk), tells the heroic tale of the Tuskegee Airmen through the eyes of four courageous young men.
