On Thursday November 20, 2014 at 7pm, Producer Jason Samel of Movement Music Records in association with Love Revolution and Gold Coast Arts Center presents 'David Amram's 84th Birthday Concert: Remembering Pete Seeger' at The Hillwood Recital Hall At Tilles Center on campus at LIU Post, 720 Northern Blvd, Brookville, NY 11548. Net proceeds will benefit the 501 (c)(3) not for profit Gold Coast Arts Center, a not for profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the arts through education, exhibition, performance and outreach.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center and StandOut Productions present a gala evening celebrating the world premiere of Vickie Shaw's brand new comedy film, I'm Not Your Role Model, directed by StandOut's Andrea Meyerson A 'comedy Q&A' featuring Ms. Shaw and her funniest friends, Roxana Ward and Lisa Koch, will follow the screening. The audience is then invited to an outdoor reception in the beautiful courtyard of the Center's The Village at Ed Gould Plaza. The party will take place tonight, August 9, starting at 8 p.m.

Great Hudson River Revival (Clearwater Festival) this weekend, June 21 and 22 in beautiful Croton Point Park, Croton-On-Hudson, NY marks the first event since the passing of its founders, musician and activist Pete Seeger and his wife Toshi Seeger. Clearwater 2014 promises to be a special celebration of the Seeger's and their legacy - hosting many Clearwater friends old and new, many of who will perform special musical tributes during the event.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Last weekend, August 22-25, 2013, the Dramatists Guild of America held its second ever national conference in Chicago, at the Hilton Chicago on South Michigan Avenue. The Dramatists Guild is the professional association of playwrights, librettists, lyricists and composers writing for the stage. And with almost 7,000 members, that's a lot of creative energy!
