The smash hit musical 'RENT' has sold out every show and is sold out this weekend, so they have added two new shows on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th, both shows starting at 8:00 p.m.

Students in the Stockton Harmony after-school music program performed at the Venezuelan consulate on March 12, 2014 in San Francisco to a number of visiting consuls. Representing Harmony Stockton—an El Sistema inspired program—the students were promoting the El Sistema vision to an international audience.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere of THE LIBRARY on Tuesday, March 25, written by award-winning writer Scott Z. Burns. Directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh, THE LIBRARY will run through Sunday, April 27, in The Public's Newman Theater, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 15. Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF), now heading into its 12th season, welcomes springtime in NYC with three weeks of new theatre at HERE's Mainstage, April 2 to 19, 2014. Seventeen of America's best emerging writers and theatrical visionaries will share their stories that interpret our history and our times through live performances fusing theatre, dance, music, media and visual arts. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced national awardees of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Individuals from across the United States are recognized for outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 7 through March 1, 2014. Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and George Venizelos, the Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI"), announced that PETER STRAIN, a talent agent for film, television, and Broadway actors, pled guilty today in Manhattan federal court to stealing more than half a million dollars from his clients, which he used to purchase personal luxury retail goods and artwork, among other things. STRAIN was originally charged in November 2013, and he pled guilty today before United States District Judge George B. Daniels.
