HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2, DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE, And More Win at the ANNIE AWARDS- All the Winners!

Saturday, January 31 marked the 42nd Annual Annie Awards recognizing the year's best in animation. The black tie event kicked off at 5 p.m. with Red Carpet arrivals and a VIP champagne reception, followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. and after-party immediately following the show. All events were held at UCLA's Royce Hall. Check out all the winners below!

Intimations Dance Brings New Work to Aeronaut Brewing Company Tonight

?Intimations Dance will install new dance work at Aeronaut Brewing Company, a craft brewery and foods hub in Somerville, MA, for an evening of performance to celebrate the culmination of Boston's National Choreography Month. Several creative collaborators join Intimations Dance for the brewery takeover: local dance company Paradise Lost; independent choreographers Michael Figueroa, Sarah Mae Gibbons, and Wisty Andres; a cohort of live musicians from Berklee College of Music; and VJs and local DJ Univer-AL. The performance takes place tonight, January 31, 2015, 6 pm–12 am.

Velocity's BRIDGE PROJECT 2015 Kicks Off Today

4 of Seattle's most promising choreographers create 4 new works in the pressure cooker of just 4 weeks at Velocity's Bridge Project -- turning Velocity into an intense hive of urgency, excitement and dedication. This year's performance features exciting new work by emerging Seattle artists Adriana Hernandez, Coleman Pester, Hannah Simmons, and Dylan Ward.

DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE Begins Tonight at Profile Theatre

PROFILE THEATRE presents Dead Man's Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl. Performances run tonight, January 29 - February 15, 2015 on the Morrison Stage at Artists Repertory Theatre. Opening night is January 31st with previews on January 29th and 30th. Tickets are currently on sale at Profiletheatre.org. Dead Man's Cell Phone is the first production in Profile Theatre's 2015 Season dedicated to the works of playwright Sarah Ruhl.

One of the country's most prestigious cultural honors, The Helen Hayes Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in professional theatre throughout the Washington metropolitan area. THE LARIAT to Premiere at San Fran's Thick House Theater, Through 1/31

SAN FRANCISCO, CA— ScolaVox (scolavox.org) and Thick House Theater (thickhouse.org) are proud to present the World Premiere of The Lariat, a dark comic opera by composer Lisa Scola Prosek, based on the 1927 novella by the poet and anthropologist Jaime de Angulo. This production will take place January 23-31, 2015 at Thick House Theater in San Francisco.

Anne Hathaway to Star in GROUNDED at the Public; Julie Taymor Directs!

The Public Theater announced today that George Brant's spellbinding, ripped-from-the-headlines play GROUNDED, with Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, has been added to the 2014-15 downtown season. Directed by Academy Award nominee and two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, GROUNDED marks the return to the Public Theater stage for Hathaway who played Viola in the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night. GROUNDED will begin performances in the Anspacher Theater on Tuesday, April 7 and run through Sunday, May 17, with an official press opening on Thursday, April 23.

Opera Parallele Presents Special Pre-DEAD MAN WALKING Premiere Event Tonight

In anticipation of its February 20-22 YBCA Theater premiere of a new production of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, award-winning contemporary opera company Opera Parallèle will present a special free public event tonight, January 21, 7-8:30 pm at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco. The evening will feature a discussion of the opera—which has had 40 productions, spanning the globe, in its 15-year history—and its controversial topic, the death penalty, along with performances of excerpts from the opera and other works. Opera Parallèle founder and Artistic Director Nicole Paiement and Creative Director Brian Staufenbiel will host special guests including activist and author Sister Helen Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking, which chronicles her relationship with a Louisiana death-row inmate, and which was also made into a celebrated motion picture; composer Jake Heggie, mezzo-sopranos Frederica von Stade and Catherine Cook, sopranos Kristin Clayton and Nicolle Foland, and Roslyn Barak, cantor of Temple Emanu-El. Admission for the event is free of charge and advance reservations are required at opdmw.brownpapertickets.com .

MoMA to Host Documentary Fortnight 2015, 2/13-27

The Museum of Modern Art announces Documentary Fortnight 2015: MoMA's International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media, the 14th annual showcase of recent documentary film that examines the relationship between contemporary art and nonfiction practices and reflects on new areas of documentary filmmaking, from February 13 through 27, 2015.

Ito Aghayere, LisaGay Hamilton & More to Star in Signature Theatre's THE LIQUID PLAIN

Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the New York Premiere of The Liquid Plain by Naomi Wallace, directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs February 17 through March 29, 2015 with a March 8 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
