Many Bodies, One Mind, is the third studio album from the multi-talented LA based Diana Purim & Eyedentity.

The Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM today announced that the Roxy Coss Quintet is the winner of the union's groundbreaking Emerging Artists Project (EAP). The four-year grant program, launched in partnership with Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL), has been designed to provide support to help more firmly establish the band in New York City—and further efforts to ensure that all professional musicians can afford to live, work and raise a family in New York.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Australia's bold contemporary circus company, Circa, with their exhilarating performance Opus on April 28, 2018 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Since forming in Brisbane, Australia in 2004, Circa has become an international sensation, being called to perform in more than 35 countries. In Opus, 14 acrobats-some of whom will be suspended from the Chan Centre ceiling-will perform gravity-defying feats as they interact with the four musicians of France's esteemed Debussy String Quartet. This genre-defying work pushes the boundaries of 'nouveau cirque' to the stirring music of Dmitri Shostakovich.

Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, makes its Carnegie Hall debut in the concluding program of the venue's season-long celebration of the music of Philip Glass. The program explores the influence of Ravi Shankar and Indian aesthetics on Mr. Glass and features the New York premiere of his The Passion of Ramakrishna, a Pacific Symphony co-commission for chorus, soloists, and orchestra that was given its world premiere by Pacific Symphony in 2006. The Pacific Chorale, which sang in the world premiere, will join Pacific Symphony for the performance at Carnegie Hall. The program also includes "Meetings Along the Edge" from Glass/Shankar collaboration Passages and Shankar's Third Sitar Concerto, featuring the composer's daughter Anoushka Shankar as soloist. Philip Glass is Carnegie Hall's 2017-2018 Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to announce programming for the third annual Tilt Kids Festival, featuring six premieres of whimsical, thoughtful, and rigorously made works for children across six venues throughout New York City, March 3-18. Described by The New York Times as "French in origin, fantastical in concept, and freewheeling in execution," the festival will engage kids of all ages with the work of renowned artists across multiple disciplines. New York City organist/pianist, Brian Charette, has established himself as a leading voice in modern Jazz. Charette is a Grammy-nominated, Hammond-endorsed artist who was the winner of the 2014 Downbeat Critics' Poll Rising Star: Organ award and has climbed to 4th place in The Critic's Poll main organ category. In 2015 Brian also won The Hot House Magazine's Fan's Decision Jazz Award for Best Organist in New York. His last Positone Records recording, Once and Future, reached #17 on the Jazz Week chart and was also on the iTunes new music Top 20. This Summer, Brian just released his new Circuit Bent Organ trio recording, Kurrent, and featuring Ben Monder.  Groovin' With Big G on Steeplechase Records release date is March 15. The CD features legendary saxophonist George Coleman, guitarist Vic Juris and drummer George Coleman Jr.

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 jazz albums, as well as multiple Gold, Platinum and Grammy Awards. Most recently, his latest album Impressions won the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 2013 55th Grammy Awards. Performing worldwide and selling more than four million albums, he has found a form of creative expression that begins in jazz and expands beyond the limits of any single genre.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) and the Santa Rosa Symphony announced the lineup for the 2018-19 Symphony Pops Series, to be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). Now in its 14th year, the Sunday afternoon concert series introduces audiences to the great depth and range of sounds of the Santa Rosa Symphony and acclaimed soloists, through the music of legendary Motown artists, dynamic divas, and tributes to pop sensations.

Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Van Morrison's new 39th studio album, You're Driving Me Crazy, a musical collaboration with Hammond organ virtuoso and trumpet master Joey DeFrancesco, on Friday, April 27.

NHK, Japanese public broadcaster, has announced that it will host an immersive musical 8K theater experience at the upcoming SXSW conferences between March 13 - 15, 2018 in Austin, Texas. The 8K theater will boast an impressive experience open to SXSW attendees focusing around musical performances that will showcase the magic of sound and vision through the lens of 8K.

The Miles Electric Band, a progressive, All-Star ensemble of Miles Davis alumni who are revising the framework for modern jazz improvisation, will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, March 1 at 8:00pm.  The avant-garde collective revisits repertoire from Davis' electric period (1968 - 1975) in paying homage to The Chief.  The band represents two generations of players: Davis' contemporaries and the next generation.

Over the years, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has evolved into a multi-genre celebration of contemporary live music. However, at its core, the festival–and the various satellite events that take place across the city during the eleven-day musical marathon–is still centered around a love and appreciation for the improvisational jazz music that inspired the modern music community. During this year's Jazz Fest, keyboard wizard Joey Porter will add to that celebratory vibe with his Herbie Hancock Tribute at Frenchmen Street's Maison on Sunday, May 6th. With him, Porter is bringing an impressive roster of funk and jazz players from his band The Motet, progressive jazz stalwarts Snarky Puppy, and iconic modern funk-fusion band Lettuce.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq and Greenlandic mask dancer Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory in an electrifying combination of sound and movement, March 16 - 18 at 7:30pm in the Telus Studio Theatre as part of the Beyond Words series. Lauded for their expressive and emotionally-charged performances, together these powerhouse artists will cast a contemporary light on their shared Inuit roots while celebrating the strength, resilience, and courage of Indigenous women.
