The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon is being held this afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners will be announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, has announced initial casting for its 25th Anniversary Season with the musicals LES MISERABLES, Falsettos, and Disney's The Little Mermaidon the Mainstage. Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie and the new musical Nine Wives (by Douglas J. Cohen and Dan Elish) will play Stage 2 in the Bok Gallery. The Youth Theatre will present the Tony-winning Spring Awakening.

The 2014 Drama League Nomination announcement begins the month of celebrations leading up to the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at noon hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment present the fifth and final production in its 2013-1014 season of shows with the Los Angeles regional theatre premiere of one of the most beloved musicals of all time, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the Tony award-winning, LES MISERABLES, music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, with musical direction by John Glaudini, choreography by Dana Solimando and directed by Brian Kite.

On Sunday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., the newly renovated Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane, will feature a festive Easter Brunch that diners of all ages will enjoy. Children will have a special opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Following Brunch, guests may also choose to attend the 7:00 p.m. performance of the Tony Award-winning musical, Les Miserables. Les Miserables is at last back on Broadway, where it belongs. Just last night, the new revival of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical Les Miserables opened at the Imperial Theatre.
