Nikki M. James to Play Final LES MISERABLES Performance on Broadway Today

Tony Award winner Nikki M. James will give her final performance as Eponine in the Cameron Mackintosh production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables today, January 11. Erin Clemons will take over the role from January 13 through February 8, with Brittney Johnson performing the role February 10 through March 1. Additional principal casting for the production's second year on Broadway will be announced in the coming weeks.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andy Mientus, who currently plays 'Marius' in LES MISERABLES on Broadway, will soon make an appearance on the small screen as 'Pied Piper' in CW's THE FLASH. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Mientus will be out of the show October 23 through November 18 to film the series. During that time, the role will be played by understudies Chris McCarrell (October 23-November 2) and Matt Rosell (November 4-18).

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will commence its 2014-15 season at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare with a Fall Repertory that features William Shakespeare's uproarious battle of the sexes, The Merry Wives of Windsor and a new production of Boublil and Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical epic, Les Miserables. The productions will be performed in rotating repertory September 26 - November 9, 2014.

Broadway's Les Miserables recently introduced the world to #MizFlatCosette, stemming from the popular concepts of Flat Stanley and Flat Stella. Over the course of the past few weeks, Flat Cosette has made her way around the world with fans at their favorite spots or on vacation. Today, Flat Cosette officially nominated herself for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in return challenging Flat Stanley, Flat Stella and Les Miserables Broadway's own Cosette, Samantha Hill.

For the third production in Cortland Repertory Theatre's 43rd annual summer season, the epic, international hit musical 'LES MISERABLES' takes the stage. Based on Victor Hugo's novel, the script of the musical is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, with music by Schonberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Performances of CRT's production will run from tonight, July 9 - 26 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on July 11, 13, 16, 20, and 23 at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in downtown Cortland.
