Announced today, Academy Award-winner Hans Zimmer's 'Bleeding Fingers Music' has created the score for PLANET EARTH II, the brand new landmark series from the BBC's Natural History Unit. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Planet Earth II premieres on BBC AMERICA in Winter 2017.
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the Cincinnati Pops announced highly-anticipated international tours to Asia in March of 2017 with six performances in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan, as well as the CSO undertaking an extensive, eleven-concert tour across Europe over three weeks in August and September. The Orchestra will be on tour for five total weeks in 2017, performing in 12 cities across seven different countries.

Over the past four years, Macauley has celebrated the songbooks of Academy Award-winning and Grammy Award-winning songwriters of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, Norman Gimbel (It Was Me: The Lyrics of Norman Gimbel) and Henry Mancini (Mr. Lucky: The Songs of Henry Mancini). Now, Macauley will turn his evocative vocals and on-stage charm to exploring the work of the legendary French film composer who wrote the scores and themes to the movie musicals, “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” “Young Girls of Rochefort” and “Yentl,” as well as countless other films.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and the Santa Rosa Symphony announced the lineup for their 2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series collaboration. The new season marks the twelfth year of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the series will be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. The concert offerings include hits from Maestro Berkowitz's voluminous library of popular music, a special Charlie Brown Christmas Concert, a showcase of The Great American Songbook and a tribute to the legends of country music.
