Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) will present a very special performance by The Moonlight Orchestra in 'That Mancini Magic! The Timeless Music of Henry Mancini,' headlined by Mancini's handpicked solo trumpeter for 20 years, Cecil Welch, and world renowned concert pianist Mac Frampton on Sunday, April 23 at 3 p.m. 

National Medal of Arts recipient and nine-time Grammy winner Herb Alpert will be awarded the UCLA Medal, the campus's highest honor, on June 16 at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music's inaugural commencement ceremony.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the musical legacy of Henry Mancini, one of the world's greatest composers, conductors and arrangers, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. From 'Moon River' to 'The Days of Wine and Roses' to the 'Peter Gunn Theme,' the music of Henry Mancini has helped define American film and television soundtracks for nearly five decades, and earned the legendary composer four Academy Awards, twenty Grammy Awards and numerous other honors, including a U.S. Postage Stamp. The evening not only honors Henry Mancini, but also celebrates Ginny Mancini and the Mancini family with a special performance by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami-their first Los Angeles appearance since their move to Florida-with all proceeds benefiting the artistic, educational and outreach programs of The Wallis.

???????The legendary recordings of Tony Bennett and Bill Evans will be performed by the Joel Zelnik Trio with singer Annette Sanders at the Bickford Theatre on Monday, March 27, at 8:00 p.m.  Joining pianist Joel Zelnik will be Brian Glassman on bass and David Cox on drums.

The McCallum Theatre Concert Band returns for its 5th annual performance on Sunday, March 26, at 3:00pm. This year's program with Gershwin's classic 'An American in Paris' will be conducted by McCallum Theatre President and CEO Mitch Gershenfeld. It's an afternoon performance for the entire family with 40 of Hollywood's finest musicians playing stirring marches, band classics and popular tunes. This year's guest conductor Sylvia Gregoire will conduct the 'Stars and Stripes Forever March' by John Philip Sousa. And, of course, there is free ice cream for everyone after the show.

James Levine, Christoph Eschenbach, Gustavo Dudamel, Susanna Malkki, Kent Nagano, a "virtual" Esa-Pekka Salonen, and three conductors making Chicago Symphony Orchestra debuts take the podium.

The new season marks the thirteenth year of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the series will be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.  The concert offerings include a tribute to the great Louis Armstrong, A Holly Jolly Pops featuring the Roustabout Theatre, a Symphonic Surfin' Safari with Papa Doo Run Run and a special evening of Love, Lust, and Rock 'n' Roll with special guest vocalist Storm Large.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell have announced the details of the Pops' 2017-18 season, the first back in the Orchestra's home at Music Hall following an extensive renovation and transition season at the Taft Theatre.

In what he has been calling the third part of a 'Cabaret Trilogy of Classic Hollywood Songwriters,' 2016 MAC Award nominee and 2016 and 2015 BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Award Nominee Jeff Macauley will continue the run of his most recent show, Le Grand Tour: The Music of Michel Legrand, at Don't Tell Mama (W 46th St., between 8th & 9th Ave) on March 17 at 7 pm. The concert highlights iconic melodies from productions which have found success on both stage and screen. Ms. Boggess performs songs from Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Little Mermaid, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Love Never Dies, and In the Good Old Summertime. The evening also includes a tribute to George Gershwin, dance music by Leonard Bernstein from On the Town, and selections from Oliver! and The Producers. The concert takes place at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the campus of Princeton University.

Steve March Torme, the first-born son of legendary jazz singer Mel Torme presents a magical evening of music and memories on Monday, February 6, at 8:00pm at the McCallum Theatre. Steve March Torme, accompanied by a ten-piece band playing iconic arrangements by Marty Paich, sings his father's best-known songs, interspersed with personal Torme photos and video clips. From the opening strains of "Sweet Georgia Brown" to the up-tempo excitement of Duke Ellington's "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing," the concert covers a sweeping arc of many of the songs Mel performed over a 50 years plus career, including "Stardust," "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square," "Lulu's Back in Town," and "The Folks Who Live on the Hill."

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) and the Santa Rosa Symphony present a special musical event as a part of the2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series on Sunday, February 19 at 3 p.m. featuring cabaret star Ann Hampton Callaway singing hits from the Great American Songbook. Callaway joins the Santa Rosa Symphony for a celebration of 20th Century American music. From a command performance at the White House, to the Great White Way of Broadway, she has captivated audiences everywhere. The Tony-nominated star of the Broadway hit Swing! sings the timeless classics of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and many more from the Great American Songbook. The Santa Rosa Symphony will be under the direction of acclaimed Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz.
