Sound Bites 10-Minute Musical Theatre Festival Finalists Announced

Theatre Now New York proudly announces the ten musical finalists that will be featured in the Third Annual Sound Bites 10-Minute Musical Theatre Festival. This year's benefit festival will be performing on January 18, 2016 (Martin Luther King Holiday), at 7:00 pm at the 47th Street Theatre, 304 West 47th Street, in Manhattan. Tickets go on sale to the public on December 1st at www.tnny.org or by calling 855-254-SHOW [7469]. Sound Bites Musical Theatre Festival benefits the development of new musicals.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre Announces 2015-16 Grant Recipients

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces nine awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its seventh year, the Fund will provide grants totaling $46,000 to ten organizations across the country.

Max Crumm, Katie Thompson and More Set for 22@54 at 54 Below

Max Crumm (Grease, F#%king Up Everything), Daniel J. Edwards (Anything Goes), Sevan Greene, Adam Halpin (Dogfight, Glory Days), Patty Nieman, Eileen Patterson, Aaron Riesebeck, Katie Thompson (Giant, Big Fish) and Carrington Vilmont (Phantom of the Opera) will be joining the concert cast of 22@54.

National Asian Artists Project presents a fully staged reading of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CAROUSEL tonight, June 4th at 7:30pm. This one-night only benefit takes place at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street at 9th Ave in New York City. Directed by Baayork Lee (Broadway's A Chorus Line), the performance features an all Asian-American cast of professionals.
